About
"Rocket" Rod Moore fell into Tiki culture after purchasing his first mug in 2006. In 2009 he started designing vintage style tiki t-shirts and attended his first tiki weekender in San Diego.
Then things really got going - becoming a member of a popular surf band, learning to carve his own tikis and then finally, opening his first ever commercial tiki bar; Vancouver BC’s “The Shameful Tiki Room" in March of 2013! A second location followed in Toronto of November 2015 and the world was all things tiki.
Rod continued learning how to craft various kinds of art, everything from Witco inspired mid century to designing tiki mugs. Offers came in to build home bars, carve totems and more, keeping Rod busy in and around his own projects.

In the summer of 2023 Rod made the decision to sell the Vancouver Shameful Tiki Room location and begin to focus more on creating more tiki instead of managing it. Through this website you can see a sampling of some of Rods previous work as well as follow his instagram to see what new projects are on the go. Any projects that haven’t been sold are available to purchase and commissions are most welcome. Enjoy looking around and we hope to hear from you.
